Well Good

how to recharge your health and wellbeing every day

Katie and Andy Mant, co-founders of premium wellness technology company Bon Charge, give you their daily non-negotiables for wellbeing. This is advice not to sleep on.

Going Dark
“Eight hours of sleep is always the goal,” says Andy. “We use blue-free, circadian-friendly lighting throughout the house after dark and I always wear glasses that block blue light to boost melatonin before going to bed.”

Natures Best
“I supplement with astaxanthin, which is a naturally occurring compound actually derived from marigolds,” says Andy. “It’s an antioxidant to make sure your body is working properly to filter out anything it doesn’t want or need.”

Jojoba Serum being applied

“With so many cosmetics on the market laden with endocrine-disrupting ingredients, for me
jojoba oil, made from the seeds of the jojoba plant, is the best way to naturally hydrate your skin without all the nasty chemicals,” says Katie.

A Haul of Benefits
“Take high-strength fish oil twice a day for your general wellbeing, recommends Katie. “It's so good for a multitude of things, including your muscles, joints, eyes, mood, stress, hormones and much, much more.”

Flip Reverse It
“There can be a huge range of contaminants in your tap water, so I use a reverse osmosis filter system,” says Andy. “It removes any heavy metals, harmful chemicals and bacteria, plus it tastes like mineral water without all the single-use plastics.”

Make The Switch
“Put your phone on airplane mode every night to mitigate the electric and magnetic fields in your room," advises Katie. “Sleep is when we restore and repair, so we want the environment to be as safe as possible to allow for that.”
